Business Development Associate

The primary role of the Business Development Associate is to conduct market research, and source and qualify sales leads. The Business Development Associate works as part of the Sales Team, to support the Business Development Representatives, Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to reach the goals agreed in the sales plan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • - Responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support Business Development Representatives, Account Executives, and Sales managers.
  • - Perform research to look for new leads through Internet, social media monitoring, subscriptions, new databases, among others.
  • - Assist in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
  • - Identify and qualify new prospects based on a company‚Äôs business model and guidelines.
  • - Update CRM records and general CRM maintenance.
  • - Verify the validity and business information of contacts and leads.


  • - Must be efficient at utilizing computer-based tools (PC, I-room, Google Docs)
  • - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • - Ability to work as part of a team
  • - Able to work independently but within a strategic framework
  • - Good business acumen
  • - Able to handle multiple projects/assignments at the same time
  • - Strong organizational skills
  • - Sales experience preferred
