Position Overview

  • The B2B Sales Representative helps to generate and facilitate sales for a company by supporting the sales team. In the capacity of front-line representative to the sales team, the B2B is involved in initiating contact with potential customers through phone calls, known as outbound prospecting/cold-calling. It's common for the BDR to communicate with potential customers by phone and by email. The objective is to identify the potential needs of the customer, qualify their interest and viability, and create a relationship that will help drive the sale.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • - Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • - Reach out to sales prospects through a variety of channels. Especially the phone, but also email and LinkedIn, in order to generate qualified sales appointments
  • - Present our company to potential clients
  • - Identify client’s needs and suggest customized product/services solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • - Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • - Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • - Manage and update the CRM with any relevant info to the potential sale
  • - Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • - Work closely with your sales manager to improve and optimize strategy and performance
  • - Transfer sales opportunities to the appropriate senior team in an efficient and clear manner
  • - Reach and exceed your quarterly sales objectives set alongside your manager


  • - Proven work experience (1-year minimum) as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account
  • - Executive or similar role preferred
  • - Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • - Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • - Track record of achieving sales quotas preferred
  • - Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • - Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • - Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • - Excellent verbal, written communications skills and negotiation skills
  • - A comfortable and strong presence on the phone
  • - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • - Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • - BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
